Info Maternity Shoots

Maternity Sessions are best done between weeks 28 and 36 of the pregnancy. It is one of the few photoshoots during which I tend to pose more than I document, although the latter is always part of my sessions, especially if you have children already.

Maternity sessions are usually between 60-90 minutes long, but as with all my shoots, I won’t leave until I’m happy with the selection of images I’ve captured. You may choose to stay in comfy, belly-hugging clothes, expose the bump, or change into gorgeous, flowing maternity gowns. For inspiration, we can exchange Pinterest or Instagram pictures we like. A mood board is always fun.

Although the focus will be on you, it would be nice to plan the session around everyone’s schedule. In other words, if it’s just you and your partner, let’s make sure we can pull them in for a few shots. If you have kids already, let’s include them, as well.

Digital images are included, but my goal is to create a set of beautiful images for a printed album, as well as artwork worthy of framing. Digital images are nice to have, but I put so much love and time into my work, it would be a shame to just let them disappear into a hard-drive somewhere.
